Hey Folks,

I have a question concerning waxed wood...  I have some ebony that was waxed to protect it, and was wondering the best way to get the wax off of it to use it..  I figured taking it off with a scraper was best (keeping most of the wax out of my power tools)...    Your Thoughts?

Later Sgtsnafu...

Well scraping is a good way. If the piece is small enough a quick trip to the freezer or freeze spray like they use to remove sticky stuff from carpets will remove alot. You can probaly buff it out with steel wool and fine scotch brite just dont get it warm to prevent the remaing wax from soaking in the grain
